What is a Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) Facelift
and how does it work?

A PRF Facelift is a highly effective, natural, skin rejuvenation technique. The combination of facial micro-needling and topically applied PRF can dramatically improve skin texture and tone, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), a 2nd generation of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), is now available to give your skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. PRF is packed full of growth factors, stem cells, and healing properties that help to stimulate intense rejuvenation from within the skin. This non-surgical liquid facelift can boost blood flow and encourage vigorous growth of new collagen and elastin, which in turn results in dramatic results for your complexion. This all-natural treatments for skin rejuvenation can provide benefits that last up to one year.

We offer PRF Facelifts at Scientiphika Medical Spa. Aleksandra Predota, our Medical Director and board-certified advanced practice registered nurse, performs this procedure in our Middletown, RI office.

What is PRF?

Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) a substance extracted from your plasma, contains healing proteins that promote cell growth and anti-aging. PRF is created by drawing blood from you and then using a particular device that separates the plasma to produce the PRF concentrate. Aleksandra then injects the PRF in the targeted treatment areas (e.g., under and around the eyes, tear trough, nasolabial folds, smoker’s lines, etc.). This treatment effectively promotes collagen and elastin production, which improves the texture, tone, and volume in the treatment area. This treatment is rich in healing properties and releases growth factors over time to provide a longer-term benefit.
